I build software, design systems, and occasionally think too much about how both shape the people who use them. The job titles have changed over many years: developer, architect, DevOps, platform engineer. The work underneath has stayed roughly the same. The thread, if there is one, is that I keep ending up at the seam between the technical and the human, where architectures meet organizations, where tools meet the people who have to live with them.

I started writing code as a teenager in Tehran because it paid. I kept writing it because, at some point, the interesting questions stopped being in the code and started being in what the code was doing to the people around it. A PhD in political philosophy was my long detour into those questions. A career in platforms and developer tooling is, in a strange way, the same detour by other means.
